This is for those of you that are actually following the race for president. Out of all the candidates which one speaks to you the most?

Romney, But I wish Keyes was runing, I thought he would've been the best Pres. in along time. And seemed very level headed. Tons of international experience, which is what we need with the damage Bush has done to our country's rep. I pick Romney because he just seems better for the position over Obama at this time. I still think Obama needs some more time to grow into the position. More time dealing with international situations. He barely has any International experience at all.

Didn't Obama say that he wanted to combine the parties(if I'm right)? That I don't think is sitting well with the left right and middle. We do need real change in this country and abroad. I don't know about hillary and some of the other guys flip-flop. It is hard for me to make a good decision right now. So I am kinda looking at what others are saying to see if there is something I am missing.

I think the whole him being "black" is too far fetched. Were not living back in the day anymore. I live in Alabama and have heard a lot of "white" people say thats who they were voting for. But I can honestly say I do not care who the president is. I feel like they are only someone to blame when the shit goes down. They have to pass everything through congress anyhow right ?

First off, Alan Keys would have made a horrible president. That guy is a bible thumping religious zealot and those are the worst kinds of people you can running a country. All I know is that if Alan Keys did get elected to president, the first thing he would do is overturn Roe v. Wade. nuff said... As for Obama, we still live in a racist society (if you don't believe me, then go play Socom or Halo 3) but I think the likely hood of him getting assassinated is very slim. If that was the case, they would have done so already. Its easier to assassinate a candidate when they are running for office because of their exposure. But right now, my front runners are Clinton and Obama. Its going to be a very interesting race.

You comparing our society to kids on a video game ? Dont think that is fair. I guess me coming from where I come from I have never been around racial people I guess. Im white as you can get and when I was growing up I had the best of friends that were black. I have had blacks spend the night at my house and have been camping with me. And my town is about equal when it comes to race. 50-50 not including mexicans and other races. I guess in bigger cities or maybe its just up north. Because I have lived in Alabama and Florida and never witness much racial issues at all.

I don't think Faith is a bad thing, when it comes to a Candidate. You hope they are smart enough to know when to seperate the two of them. I believe Keye's was a very Level and Rational person. And I hope a person of character has some value of God, to help them maintain a moral stance.I don't think any person wants to see an unborn child killed. But I do think they believe in the right's of the individual carrying the child. KO? I could come back and say something to the effect that Osama is "such and such" and have the same emphasis that your comment states. I could have easily said Obama doesn't have enough Faith in God, and to those whom that is important. They would be appalled. When I first saw this post, I was like that's no Hot Box I want to be apart of. But, then I decided I wanted to see where some of you stand. I believe from now on, I am going to take my old bartenders stance. "No Comment" Never discuss Politics, Religion or Sports with the Customers.

I just believe that church and state should be separate, that was the whole gist of my last point and I apologize for not being clear about it. As for the racist comment regarding kids playing video games, my whole point is that if mom and dad both smoke, their kids are liable to smoke also. I understand that there are many variances on this issue, but parents are the front runners when it comes to educating their children. Politics is a very dangerous and dirty game and I hope I can express my views without pissing anyone off. As for racism between the north and the south, the only difference is that in the south, they will make it clear that they do not like you.

No one pissed me off. Nobody can argue against one's beliefs. I, a Christian. Couldn't convince a Muslim or a Jewish person that there is a Jesus Christ because that is not there belief. The same as a person who believes in Abortion couldn't change the person's mind that believe's it's murder. And I believe church and state to be seperate as well. But we have to vote with confidence that the person voted for is capable of doing that. To my reculation there has never been an athiest as Pres. I believe they have all had some sort of affiliation with some Church. I remember it being a big deal that JFK was a Catholic, because we never had a Catholic Pres. before.
