yea i wasnt "well known" to the allied clans in socom 2 but i loved playin with usk, killa, bts, and sgp and ppl like prime suspect and some others, i remember when we played blizzard, smitty and billyjoe would be hiding in the trees, goin at each other to see who will kill each other first... socom is the best 3rd person shooter game for me...
and im lookin forward towards call of duty 4 also

lol Thats funny. I BETA tested one of them. I think it was the one with Fish Hook. (I think)I remember they actually had the grenade launcher on that map at first. lmao I never seen so much lag !

Those were only 2 of them, bushlakanaka was another.. Which was my favorite..
Yeah, fish hook did have that, also the ladder in the middle of the map betweenthe boat house and the vip house was a glitch trap.. Anyone that would climb up got stuck in it.. Funny as shit... I remember getting kicked out of the beta games at least once an hour.. I remember Ya-Ya and i got so frustrated at time we just stopped playing it and went back to socom 1..

As for S3, there where some aspects of it I did like. I actually like the vehicles, it made the game more challenging, and there was nothing better than blowing up a loaded tank/humvee and wathing everyone die. I just felt the maps were way too big. They should have included at least 3 big maps with vehicles intact and kept the original maps. The big maps that should have stayed are devils road (which could be actually made into two maps if you cut it in half), Harverster (intact) and a smaller version of killing fields. Besides that update the old maps and keep it 10v10 for the old maps and the new ones 16v16.

I liked storm front. You see how no vehicles on map that size could work. The problem was that on that map camping was easy since everyone pretty much became a sniper.
I think they should have made the maps smaller; but not too small.

for some reason i was looking through these threads, and i see everyone that complained about socom3 and CA said "the maps were too big"... i just remembered if that was the case then howcome no one played small maps?! the option was there all along

That is all I played. USP played nothing but small maps. Problem being the maps weren't designed to be small. All they did was through up road blocks on certain parts of the map. When you made the maps small it always bottle necked all the maps and dudes would just sit back and snipe the two ways to move through the map. For example when you made fault small or harvester small you were fucked depending on the side you got. I hated socom 3 and CA. I have said it a 1000 times socom and socom 2 were such a big hit becuase it was small to medium size maps and you could run and gun. Most of the maps were even and sniping was more difficult. I never sniped in socom or socom 2, NEVER, because I couldn't. I hated the way the scope move and bounced. In socom 3 I sniped about 60% of the time. So how does a none sniper go from that to a sniper. THEY MADE SNIPING TO EASY! Ruined game as well as huge maps. KO liked vehicles I could not stand them.

I liked the addition of the vehicles, because it made the experience different. It was also fun to blow them up as well as run over people. I could have lived without them, but since they were in S3, I just went with the flow.

I thought I liked them at first until mofo's was trying to see how high they could get the jeep to go during a game while i was dying...idiots!!.
