So wouldn't having a Beta include testing your server load and network connections? What a joke!

So I must say I am now excited to play. TDogg says is it like Socom 2 with much better graphics. I guess they brought back frost, desert glory, and cross roads. Why did noone else tell me this shit?
Anyway, I'll be on later today I hope, so come find me.

So far, Socom is finally on metareview, but still no rating scores yet.

Finally got up and running last night. Played until 2 AM. It was fun but will definitely need some adjustments via patches. Frostfire is Frostfire. They've changed Desert Glory a little bit but it's still the map we used to know and love.
As for all of the other maps...I still have no idea where I am in any of them so I just get lost. Having not played SOCOM since S2 (other than the few hours I put into S3), I do know one thing...I fuckin' suck.
I don't know what else to say about it right now. It's the SOCOM of old, really. There was some off and on lag, but I'm hoping that'll go away once they get their shit figured out.
Now Resistance 2...can't wait for that shit. I got into the beta last night and the 8 player online co-op is wicked. Haven't had that much fun in a while.

Just trying to give it the benefit of the doubt and maybe they fix the issues. I mainly just want the LBP but then again I may just keep my money and buy 360 games

I've been disconnected once since they released a patch on Nov. 3. It hasn't frozen since either. Lag is more or less non-existent other than when someone joins a room. It's really messed and should hopefully be fixed soon. It's funny...you can always tell when someone joins a room because you get a huge lag spike for a split second. In my opinion, it is the socom of old. I'm having a blast playing. I bought GH: World Tour, LPB, R2, and SOCOM all in the past month. I've hardly played anything but SOCOM. Having said that, I'd still wait if you can. I'm not a very critical person, so you guys might not like it. I enjoy the 7 maps, but they need more.

Reaper, Although you say you are not very critical, you say the things that were bashed in the Reviews were fixed. That's fine, they were fixed but do you think if nobody bashed the probs they would've been fixed. There were probs with the game and peeps spoke up, that's why you are enjoying the game now. They deserved to be bashed IMO. You want good reviews put a game out with few probs not a whole slew. But appreciate you being honest. I think I will still wait for the PS3 for now.

Oh I know this game deserved the reviews it got. I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that the game wasn't ready and should have been delayed. It was a lose-lose for them anyway they went. I think I'd probably be playing LBP or R2 right now if all hell didn't break loose on the forums when the game was released. What I meant by not being critical is that I don't get all pissy when something doesn't work the way it's supposed to. I'll just play something else. It's SOCOM's fault I still haven't finished MGS4 Buy a PS3 in April when they start using smaller chips and they drop the price. I plan on picking up a 2nd when that happens. By that time, SOCOM might have a couple more maps (lol).

instead of picking up another PS3... why not just buy a 360.

instead of picking up another PS3... why not just buy a 360. What he said ^ Why have 2 PS3's when you can have a PS3 and a 360. If you say buying one for your girl you might as well give her the PS3 and buy yourself the box. Once you see Xbox Live you wont wanna bother with PSN in my opinion. Thats how I felt when I came over to Microsoft anyways.

Indeed, the 2nd one is for the girl. She wants to play LBP, Eternal Sonata and, eventually, the Final Fantasies. Maybe I'll buy her SOCOM too...she did play S2 after all ;D Bama, I don't care all that much about the whole Live vs PSN thing. I buy a system for games and I like the games that are/will be on the PS3. That's not to say I wouldn't play a 360 if I had one...but I won't be buying one. I don't even have enough time to play all my PS3 games, how would I find time for 360 as well? Playing with some familiar faces would be a good reason to pick up a 360 I suppose
