 Socom is where it's at
« Thread Started on May 1, 2009, 11:11am »

I have to say...

Socom feels just like it used to... Except for the lack of Allied Clan members that there used to be. It plays like old school used to. Better hit detection for the most part. I never really notice much lag.

Let's go peeps. Get back in the game!

I have read far too many negatives to waiste my money on it. Just read post others have posted on here. I do miss the socom days. Just seems like everyone plays on Xbox Live now.

Well not having a job and being in college full time deffinately doesnt allow for me to go out and purchase it. I do go off of revies from people before buying a game so I can save money. And just from the things I have read online, not worth the investment.

Heres a post about it from Joker.

hack.... it is kind of funny you make that comment. so i guess all those websites and mags must be wrong. alot of them say the game took so long to come out & it had so many problems in it, that it was broken.

Oh and for the record i did try it. i was a beta tester for it. all set with waiting almost 5 minutes to get a game started. plus being in development for 3 years plus... that shit should have dropped with more then 7 maps. 3 old & 4 new.

There's not much point trying to convince anyone that SOCOM is a decent game. The damage is done and most people on here are proof of that.

They fucked up releasing a broken game and it doesn't matter how good it is now. I agree that the only thing really wrong with it is the lack of familiar faces.

I believe you guys when you say that it's fixed, but you tube the new socom game, and looky there!!! Glitchers and cheaters galore. Not sure if they fixed that or not, but it doesn't matter to me. I can't justify $400 on a new system for one game. Plus, I really like Live. They do an excellent job of keeping cheaters out. That was always my biggest complaint.

Honestly, if there weren't cheaters on Socom 1 , I would probably STILL play the hell out of that game. Perfect hit detection, no vehicles, just a well made game.

socom 1was the shit but add the socom2 mps and that is the sht.. i used to loved some of them.. but all were good made maps.. All they needed to do was keep making maps like GRAW 2 does... Can you imagine socom 1 with 50 maps.? that would be an awesome way to a start and end the night.

from what i here hack... the games still take time to start up... thats coming from cats like...drtyjerz, buck, stenter, jester

plus there still no reason for me to spend $40 on 7 maps. a game that have been in devolopement for a couple years. killzone 2 was been made just as long. but they managed to still include a story mode & online mode with more then 7 maps, w/ amazing graphics & good hit detection.
